Why Come Back for Your 50th?
Because this one is different.
Fifty years on, you’re not coming back to relive case cold calls or old war stories—you’re coming back to reconnect with people who actually shaped your life, often more than you realized at the time. The Classmates who challenged you, supported you, competed with you, laughed with you, and then scattered across decades of careers, families, and adventures.
This reunion is a rare pause button. A chance to sit across from old friends and say, “So—how did it all turn out?” To reconnect without resumes, without agendas, without rushing. Just real conversation, shared history, and perspective that only time delivers.
Boston and HBS have changed. You have, too. And that’s exactly why this matters now.
-
Come for the friendships.
-
Come for the memories you didn’t know you still had.
-
Come because fifty years is worth marking—together.
You won’t regret showing up. You might regret missing it.
The New Nucleus of Boston – Boston Seaport Area
Our Class host hotel Westin Seaport is a complete change of venue!
Nestled between Boston’s scenic waterfront and the historic Fort Point District, the Seaport has become the most sought-after address for both Fortune 500s and start-ups to set up shop, one of the top residential areas in the city, and a go-to destination for global travelers.
Here, you’ll find international tech conferences, the state-of-the-art Boston Convention and Exhibit Center, one-of-a-kind installations by renowned artists, and shops and experiences you won’t find anywhere else in the city. Seaport represents a newer, bolder side of Boston.

A Few Quick Notes Before You Register
In the past, HBS split reunions between September and June. Today, all their reunions are concentrated into two consecutive weekends in June, dramatically increasing demand for hotel rooms, restaurants, caterers, and event venues. May and June are already peak seasons in Boston, with roughly 60,000 college graduations and prime wedding dates competing for the same limited capacity. In 2026, those pressures are further intensified by the FIFA World Cup, which begins quarterfinal play at Gillette stadium on June 13. Boston is always a wonderful and expensive place to visit – but during June, it is especially so.
Against this reality, the FUN Committee has focused on making the experience worth the cost. Our 50th Reunion is not just a weekend away—it is four full days of shared history, renewed friendships, and moments that simply cannot be replicated. This is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, and for many of us, a narrowing window to reconnect in person with people who helped shape our lives.
We hope you will decide that incurring the expense for a four-day weekend with lifelong Classmates—at a time when we are all still able to gather—is an investment in memory, meaning and community that will long outlast the cost.
Registering for our 50th Reunion involves three websites
Each with a distinct role. Once you know the logic, it’s straightforward:
1. HBS MBA Class of 1976 Website – www.HBSMBA1976.org
This is the home for all events organized by the FUN Committee.
These events are in CRIMSON
Registration fees collected here go directly toward covering event costs
2. HBS Registration
Due to a massive IT breach, the External Relations website has been shut down. Please send an email, alumni@hbs.edu, to request they send you an invitation to register.
They have abandoned the Class’s traditional policy of charging a single fee for registration and now insist on unbundling and charging for each individual event/venue. External Relations events are in BLACK. They will be collecting fees for the following:
-
Friday Night Section Party – $225/person
-
Saturday Night Gala – $375/person
-
Daily Resort (On Campus Access) Fee – $50/person/day
-
The new resort fee has significantly prompted expanded programming options for partners and spouses throughout our four days in Boston and Cambridge.
-
3. Westin Seaport – 425 Summer Street, Boston, MA
Here is the link to the Westin Seaport registration portal for our Class.

Timing: Come Early, Stay Late
We strongly encourage you to arrive by Thursday afternoon, June 4, and—if possible—stay through Sunday afternoon.
If you haven’t been back since our 40th Reunion, you’re in for a surprise:
The Boston Seaport has entirely transformed Boston
The Allston campus across Western Avenue from HBS is unrecognizable, with major new construction and facilities
This is not the Boston—or the campus—many of you remember.
About Events, Partners & Flexibility
You’ll see events labeled Classmates & Partners, Partners, or Classmates. These are general guideposts, not rigid categories.
-
A robust, thoughtful program has been designed specifically to encourage partners and spouses to attend—and to have a great time
-
Couples are encouraged to mix and match to create their own ideal four-day experience
-
The only Classmate-exclusive event is the Life Perspectives program on Saturday afternoon
Please note:
-
Event times are approximate at this stage
-
Be careful not to select activities that overlap
-
If no mention is made about parking at a FUN Committee event an Uber may be your best option
-
While navigating between hotels and venues creating the 50th Party in Boston we experienced considerable delays using Uber. Please allow sufficient time to arrive at your event at the designated start time. Group tours cannot be delayed for late arrivals.
-
Event times have been listed 30 minutes earlier than tour operator scheduled meeting times. Please allow at least 30 minutes to arrive on time. Boston is SLOW.
Event Capacity & Pricing
-
Many events have minimum and maximum participation requirements
-
If we can’t meet a minimum, the event may be cancelled—with a full refund
-
If demand exceeds capacity, we’ll explore adding another group and/or creating a waitlist
All FUN Committee pricing is strictly cost-recovery.
We’re not trying to make money—only protecting Class funds.

Step into an evening unmistakably Boston. Our Gala Dinner at the Boston Harbor Hotel Wharf Ballroom pairs refined elegance with a front-row seat on the harbor itself. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the twinkling skyline, passing boats, and historic waterfront—an atmosphere that’s both celebratory and timeless. It’s a signature Boston setting: gracious service, beautifully crafted cuisine, and a room that glows as the sun sets over the water. Conversations linger, toasts land, memories stick. It is 50th Gala celebrating a half century of lifelong friends in a quietly spectacular venue.
